Venue help Please!!

Hi all!  This is all extremely overwhelming to me so any help/advice I can get would really be appreciated.  We need help picking out a venue.  We would like to have the wedding next summer (June 2012) and it will be on a Sunday.  Our budget is $20K and will probably have at least 130-150 guests. I liked Peachtree Club (overlooking the city) but the food, bar and venue costs were around $15-$18K... I don't think we would be able to get everything else we need under the $20K. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

    Outdoor?

Villa Christina is perfect as an outdoor venue.. indoor not so much.

Piedmont Room is also nice (indoor and outdoor)

I think the Fox Theatre has lower prices on Sundays.

The Buckhead Club has a pretty nice view, and I think it's a little lower in cost than the Peachtree Club.

I hear the Wimbish House is nice also.

I don't think you will have any trouble finding a venue with your budget :-) What about 200 Peachtree? I agree with Soon2BSand - Piedmont Room will definitely fit your budget. I haven't visited Ventanas, but the pics look nice on the website.

Are you looking for an all-inclusive? Do you want to stay in the city?

You could try Summerour Studios or Biltmore Ballrooms. Also try the Pavillion at East Cobb, The Atrium, 173 Carlyle House, The Pristine Chapel, or Defoore Centre

Also check out The Venetian Room.  I haven't visited yet, but the pictures look beautiful.  The Wimbish house is budget friendly and would be able to accomodate the lower end of your guests, so check it out.  200 Peachtree is definitely beautiful, but the with the minimum rental fee of the Grand Atrium being $5000, it could add up quickly.

Also, when you say "$20K is our budget," do you mean your entire wedding budget is $20K (as in your dress, his tux/suit rental, flowers, music, etc.) or just venue? venue and catering? etc.

I was also going to recommend the Defoore Centre.  And, Cator Woodford Gardens.  Also, a friend of mine got married last year at Founders Hall in Roswell, and I think her budget was similiar to yours.

Thanks everyone for all of the ideas!  HYDROPHILE-- I meant $20K for everything (not honeymoon).  Knaija-- I'm not sure if all inclusive or not.  Ideally, I would like to stay in the city.  We are going to have a lot of out of town guests so I think that would be easiest.

I've been to the Venetian Room, it is used a lot as a party venue. The interior is beautiful as it is an old building with a lot of character, but the floor plan is extremely choppy, in small separated areas. I was not pleased and I just went to a party there, in my opinion I could not imagine how a reception could even work.
