Is there a title for the person holding the "Here comes the Bride" sign?

I'm putting my nephew's pic on our wedding website, but I don't know the correct title for the person that walks the sign down the aisle. My friend used a bell and the little boy said the bride is coming, and called him the Town Courier. Is that the name ? I can't find it on google.

thanks

I have never heard of such a thing. Someone runs down the aisle before you start to walk down and tells the guests you're coming? To me, that seems strange. To each their own I suppose.

Its the Town Crier - I was typing the wrong name.

Is this some kind of tradition? I have never been to a wedding where someone walks a sign down the aisle. I'm just trying to understand what this position is about.

I have to agree with Corinne. I've never seen or heard of this traditions. Is this new? I too am curious of the story behind this.

My cousin did it...kind of cute...just a little sign they carry as a way of letting everyone know the bride is coming to build suspense I guess. Sorry, no help on the name of what they would be called.

I've never seen this done IRL and the first I've heard of it was on the knot. I personally don't get it but to each their own. Could you title him the Sign Bearer? Kinda like the Ring Bearer?

I am doing this. I am calling it a junior groomsman. It will be my 6 year old nephew. I also have a 8 year old nephew who is walking the ring bearer (my dog) down the aisle. I called him a Jr GM too.

We did it too. We called him a junior GM, but he didn't say "the bride is coming" (I've seen this too, with bells), ours just carried the sign. There's a pic in my bio.
