How are the home improvement projects coming along???  Close to moving time?

On another note, the subdivision is having a yard sale today and tomorrow.  I took the dog for a walk this morning and everyone was setting up.  There was lots of good stuff....  (read sarcasm)

ETA: just looked at your blog.  Those floors look great!!!  Aren't wood floors so much better than carpet??

Ew.  That's kinda gross.  I mean, it's his butt.

Speaking of dogs though, are you and Dan still considering getting a dog when you get settled in?  What kind of dog would you want?

I'm bored too.  I wish I had a good story to tell!

And yes, I would do that to my dog. :)  If I had a dog.  I do ridiculous things to my cats all the time...

No, I would not do that to our dog (if we had one). Would FI? I'm sure he would.

I am so bored too.  And ready for the weekend.  I'm mailing my invites after work..YAY!

Ahh that pic!  Hilarious.  If my dog didn't have a ridiculously long tail I might do that.  I do silly things to my dog too.

And I don't really have any stories for you, unless you want to hear about the parents I deal with at work who tell me that there is absolutely nothing they can do to help their overweight kids, because "we are all big people so thats just how they are going to be".  GRR  please let me do my job and help you help your kids.  End vent.

    It's almost the weekend!

Sorry - figures as soon as I posted I got crazy at work for a bit.

The house is making me crazy but we're painting this weekend so I suppose that's a good sign. We  are moving next weekend whether or not its ready. I LOVE the hardwood floors - they came out beautifully! I'm so glad we ripped out that nasty carpet. Our kitchen cupboards are coming in Tues so we can move the fridge/stove out of the living room lol! As much as I like the renovations and how its improved the house, I will be so happy when its all done.

I loathe shopping, especially bargain shopping and the worst is garage/yard sales. I know tons of people love it but I have no desire to sift through other people's crap.

We are thinking either a golden or a lab - I'm leaning towards golden but we're waiting until we get settled so possibly next month.

Any day now...I am not at all patient about anything so its making me crazy having to wait. Luckily the house has kept us busy enough that the time has gone by relatively quickly but now that I'm 'expecting' them to come soon it seems harder to wait, if that makes any sense.

That's so sad - it really upsets me when I see severely obese children because you know its because the parents feed their kids crap day in and day out.

If you dressed your dog up like Pinocchio the long tail would fit right in!

YAY!!  I love Goldens and Labs.  Goldens are the cutest puppies EVER.  But we didn't want to deal with the long hair so we got a lab.  Althought Jackson still sheds like crazy and it seems like I'm swiffering every other day (this is when I hate hardwood floors, LOL).

I had a golden growing up and he was the best dog ever, but I always begged my parents to get a second dog because I really wanted a chocolate lab.  Considering my mom hates dogs, I should've been glad she let us get the one we had.

Andy really wanted a yellow lab, but I have had my heart set on a chocolate lab since forever so I won out.  Jackson was a pretty difficult puppy -- mostly because of the biting.  I don't remember our golden biting, but Andy and I had marks ALL OVER our arms from Jackson's sharp little teeth.  He's a great dog now and it makes all the difficulties of training a puppy worth it.

I may be coming to you for puppy training tips! Even though we had dogs the whole time I was growing up my mom always trained them.

With the two cats we're bound to have hair all over the place regardless so I've made my peace with a slightly fuzzy house.

How's the wedding stuff coming? I like what you did with the table numbers!

Um, yeah, puppy training was an experience for us.  Andy grew up with golden retrievers and I don't think either of us realized just how much of the work our parents did until we got our own dog.  They sure are a lot of work!!

If you need to use a cage when you get the puppy, we have two...one at my parents house and one at our house that is stored in the garage since we don't use it anymore.  They are expensive so if you're only planning to use one for the puppy stage, you can just use one of ours.  We still don't trust Jackson 100% in the house, but we keep him in the kitchen during the day.  There's just so much he can get to if he gets more (i.e. remote controls, pillows, clothes, etc.) but he can't really destroy anything in the kitchen.

Wedding plans are going good -- it's getting close and I'm to that point where I just want it to be here already.  Ordered invites yesterday, met with the hall last weekend to go over menus and timelines, getting ready to send out shower invites, registered, ordered Andy's ring...  It's all happening so fast.  And 99 days now, woo hoo for double digits!

I'm a little late on this one...but yes, I would do that to my dog. In fact I have before. I grew up with Boxers and I put a pair of bright green sunglasses on my dog's butt. It is a hilarious pic!
