To Rent or To Buy?

Linens. I only want a different linen for my cake table, sweatheart table and 2 cocktail tables. All of the other will the solids that the venue provides for free. To rent 4 table linens for the 4 above mentioned tables, it is $100. Do you think I can come out cheaper if I buy them? Does anyone have a recommendation on where to purchase Damask printed table linens??

Try the trash to treasure board. I think it's been moved to the nest. You can post your request as well. Damask linens are so common these days I'm sure you can find through another bride.

You can def. come out cheaper!!! We bought sheets from Ikea for $4.50 each and used them! Yes, look on the trash to treasure, lots of damask stuff pops up on there.

Another website that is helpful would be weddingbee.com. They have a classified section and I constantly see Damask print stuff on there.

I looked into renting damask tableclothes, too, and it they really hike the price up once you start getting into the fancier fabrics! I finally settled on just using damask runners which I plan on making. Much cheaper than renting!! I would definitely buy vs renting though, since you have the option to get some of your money back by reselling afterwards! HTH!
