  • I didn't use them but I got married in Ireland and spent two weeks there this past November/December.  If you need any help or suggestions, let me know, I'd love to help. Ireland is amazing!

Ireland is on our list of possible honeymoon destinations. We are getting married this coming November. How is Ireland in mid-November? Any information will help. Thanks!

There is quite a bit of rain but it didn't hinder us - just ake sure you bring a good winter jacket and either rain boots or shoes you won't mind getting wet (and lots of warm socks!). We had so much fun, we really didn't want to leave.  We didn't really like Dublin much, but it is a handy place for day tours (we spent a day in County Wicklow).  Galway was amazing, I'd live there if I could. We took a day tour to Ailwee Caves and the Burren which was cool. There's a ton to do in Galway. We want to return to Ireland asap.  If you want any specifics let me know.

  • I also thought I'd mention that H and I did a spa day and One Spirit Spa in Galway and it was a really fun experience.  They offer the usual treatments but they also have these sauna rooms. It was cool.

  • My FI and are are also looking into Ireland for our honeymoon, in August.

Anyone have any idea what a good budget for a 6-8 night trip is?  Or good companies to book through?  We like the idea of a company/travel agent selecting places for us to stay since we have so much else to do and don't know much about Ireland.  We like biking, hiking, sightseeing and FI also likes the idea of going to some pubs.  So if you have any suggestions for budget, agencies, regions to see, that would all be helpful!

  • We made the final decision about our honeymoon and we will be going to Ireland. We will be flying into Dublin and will spend 6 days there.  We have made a list of all the places we would like to visit and have also booked a couple of rail tours (just day tours). One to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher and the other to Cork and Blarney Castle.

We are very excited. Thank you so much for your advice, it really steered us in the direction of Ireland and I am so glad it did!
