Hay bale help??

A have a few questions concerning the hay bale ceremony only seating :)

1. We are getting 50  hay bales. We are figuring two people per hay bale. But we are also hoping families with small kids will sit three people to a bale. So question is how many programs should we put on each hay bale 1, 2 or 3?

2. We are also going to have one row of chairs behind the last row of hay or maybe two at the end of each row on the outside. Do you think I should make little reserved signs for (??? I don't even know what to call them) people unable to sit on hay bales? So I guess two questions. Should there be signs? And what should the sign say?

3. Last question. Can I put the canvas on the top and only a couple inches hanging over. This will save a huge amount of money. Or is it not the right place to cut? A lot of the hay bale seating I have seen online has cover on top only.

Thanks sooo much! Have I told you knotties I love you!!! LOL You all help out soo much. I don't know how I would get all these little things figure out without you all :) You are much appreciated!!

    1) 2 programs per hay bale should be fine. I am sure families with kids will be aware so have their kids close:) No worries.

2)What if you put something like "Alternate Seating" instead of reserved because then no one would sit there if they did not know who it if for. Or maybe you could write a little something in the program or you could have someone standing there to offer it to more elderly people. Sorry-not much help. Can't think of a better word either.

    3) I say save the $$$. If you cover the top and just under the edge that will be fine.
Good luck! It will look fabulous!

i think 2 programs per hay bale will be fine. or, you could just save yourself the energy and extra work, and have them all in one place before they are seated.

i cant think of better wording either... but i think if you have specific people that you want to sit there, you should put "reserved" or something on there. do you want your grandparents there? an elderly aunt? if its not for someone specific, i would just leave it as is- without any signs. people will figure it out. :)

i agree with PP, save the $$$... no one will notice if the fabric goes further down. Plus, it would take away from the fact that it's an actual hay bale.

i am totally loving the hay bale stuff... its so fun!!!

    1) i think 1 program per haybale is good..or like jamers said..put them somewhere at the entrance where they'll see it..

    2) i wouldn't put any reserved signs..just 2 on the end of each row is good

    3) save the money!
