BM dresses

For those of you who already picked BM dresses, how many of your BMs did you bring? I've been trying to organize a trip where everyone can go, I only have 4, but it seems impossible. We were all set for 9/22 with 3 of the 4 going but now only 1 can go. uggh!

I have been wondering the same thing.... I have been wanting to go for awhile but trying to wait for FI sister to come in town.

I was able to get 3 out of 4 to go, and we found the dress on that trip, I just made sure the one who couldn't make it liked it. She just had a baby so once she feels comfortable, I will take her to try it on. You can always just go browse and get an idea of what you guys like with just one girl.

I live out of stat and sent an email to all 9 of my girls telling them when i was going to be in town and when i wanted to go and gave them about a months notice because most of them have kids and work.....

all but 2 were actaully able to make it on the same day....I had brought a list of some that i had liked in books and had the girls try on what the store had of those...and they all agreed on a dress in 1 store, 1 trip.....i lucked out big time lol

its hard to get everyone together take who you can and hope for the best!!!!!

and just to be funny we found the worst dress we could and took pics in it to send the girls who werent there

I'm an oddball about this.

My original date was going to be June 30th of this year. Last september my parents had told us they weren't going to be able to contribute financially, without it- we wouldn't have been able to pull off the wedding we wanted so we postponed.

I took one of my BMs dress shopping since she was the hardest to fit being 6 feet tall. Most of the floor length dresses at DB hit her at the ankle or mid calf since her legs are so long so she had to order extra length on hers. We went shopping with my original date in mind and she's unfortunately had her dress for over a year, lol.

My second BM just got her dress a few months ago at a local bridal fair that was selling donated BM dresses. She got a gorgeous brand spanking new Alfred Angelo dress for $10!

And now this saturday I'm going with my 3rd BM to a BM dress sale that a local organization is holding and hopefully she'll find her dress too :-)

Now my sister who's my MOH will just need to get an outfit and everyone will be set!

I got all 5 to go but we went the day after our engagement party so they were all in town. If I didn't do it then, I probably would have only been able to get 2 to go.

I'm just taking one as she's the only one currently local. I'll send the top choices to the other 4 BMs and they can go try them on and let me know which they like, so everyone can still have input.

I have 2 of my 4 local I'm waiting in one lady to check her school schedule but I'm growing impatient I feel so bad I want her there but I don't want her school to suffer for it. I might go with my 2 and hopefully just text her what they choose.

I had 4 out of 5 come. The 5th one lives out of state and was getting ready to move so she couldn't make it. My mom, FMIL, FI's grandma and my aunt also came so we had a pretty big group.

I had all 4 of my BMs to try on dresses, as we did it when I tried on wedding dresses. One of them is pregnant (8 mos at the time), but since I only asked that the dresses be black, satin and cocktail length, they were all able to find a neckline that they liked. And the preggers BM could get a feel for the other 3 dresses when she goes to try hers on in 2 mos.

We have halter, strapless, one shoulder and spaghetti strap styles between the girls.

One out of four went with me. I picked multiple dresses that I liked for them then let them pick their own. I really didn't care about matching dresses as long as they were the same color and length.

I knew I wouldn't get them all at the same time so I picked a color and length at JCrew and had them pick their own.

I took all 6, but only 4 tried on dresses. One of my bridesmaids is really tall and they didn't have anything that would remotely fit her, and another one was 8 months pregnant, so I excused her from trying on dresses. I will be taking those 2 in a month or so to a different store so they can see that the dress we picked out for them fits.

I plan on going with each girl whenever she wants. I have no set dress, just a color.

I have 3. I met with them in August and did a calendar sync for everything I would need them for. Also was able to nail down shower dates too. We have a bridesmaid dress fitting date in October, invitation stuffing in late January.

I took my sister and we picked out 4 dresses for the girls to choose from. I ended up having to go back a few times with the girls so that they could pick their choice and in the end they all picked the same dress. So I went in thinking I would have different dresses and they all end up matching

My girls are in three different states, I put one girl on charge of picking a couple and emailing the styles out to the others, they each went and tried them on and amazingly all picked the same dress! It was a blessing, because with everything going on I didn't have time.

How funny! I think I will end up doing this. My sister is the MOH so I think I will go with her on the date we already had planned instead of trying to reorganize a new date.
