I have heard from many different influences that beer and wine is sufficient. We are having a lot of out-of-town guests and don't know whether to go with liquor or just Beer and Wine.
I know when I go to weddings I always drink wine. HM. What to do.... any suggestions?

If an open bar is in your budget, definitely go for it!
We did beer/wine/signature drink. It was OK. I knew my family liked "real" drinks, but I figured they'd be OK for 3 or 4 hours and could drink for real afterward. I was shocked and offended when several of them left the reception and went down the street to a bar to get real drinks.
So, while I don't think beer/wine is rude, I do think an open bar is better and you should take that route if you can.
If you can afford an open bar, go for it. Your guests will appreciate it. Otherwise one of the combinations mentioned above is an acceptable option.
We are simply just trying to be sensible through this entire process and cut our unnecessary expenses. I have always thought I would have an open bar but I just don't if it's a "MUST".
