Hi gals!
Just thought I'd introduce myself officially and tell the how-we-met story...
I'm a dancer/singer/actor originally from Metro-Detroit. I like the arts, food, petting my kitten, and laughing at stupid things. I'm 26 and BF is 30. He's a carpenter who owns his own business. He also builds beautiful musical instruments! Back story...I finished my undergrad in NYC and lived there for a total of 6 years, performing and training. Got a little tired of the big city after awhile--I'm a Midwestern girl at heart. I had been thinking for a long time about going back before I met BF. We met at our best friends' wedding here in MN--he was a groomsman and I was a bridesmaid. He says he noticed me at the rehearsal right away. At the RD, he gave me his dessert. (Totally the way into my heart!) At the reception, I caught the bouquet. Without thinking much about it, I later grabbed him and got him out on the dance floor when the DJ called last song. We danced, awkwardly, giggling all the way. We sat together in the limo afterwards and I kissed him on the cheek before I got out.
Then I went back to NYC. We started talking on Facebook about a month later, right after I caught ANOTHER bouquet at the same friends' second reception (for her family in her New York hometown because most of them couldn't travel). I swear, both of them flew right at me. Disclaimer: I know after catching one, I should have sat out, but I just wanted to show support and get out on the floor--I never imagined I'd catch it again! After BF and I got in touch online, our connection quickly grew to hours and hours of talking every day. We were falling in love.
Talking back and forth with my recently married friend after her wedding, we concocted a way for me to get out of NYC for awhile--a summer job out here in MN. (She totally hooked me up.) I decided to stay here after it ended. I'm so happy to be in MN with my soul mate, our new kitten, and a host of nice people!
Anyway, sorry this got a little long! If anyone wants all the "required" details, I'll fill out the questionnaire and post it to the NEY Intro thread.
Thanks for reading! I'm glad to be here!

I wouldn't think that you have to sit it out and not catch the bouquet twice....I mean if she's throwing it twice, then you can catch it twice....
NE Way - Welcome!! I am new-ish too.
