    I just met with my photographer. My sister's best friend found her years ago (through the art world), and her sister and mine both had her shoot their weddings. The photos are AMAZING (four years later, she STILL has them up on her site & available for orders). At my sister's wedding, during the formal shots of the couples, the rest of the BP headed down by the water to hang out and goof off. She sent her assistant down for some incredible candid shots. At the reception, she took about a thousand beautiful pics, but blended in so well that our cousins and old friends thought she was a guest. She's not pushy or intrusive, and manages to seamlessly blend in while taking the most beautiful candid shots! We've hired her for pictures of my nieces and other events...she's the best!

    My sister's BF and I just hired her for our weddings next year. Mine is in NY, but she doesn't mind traveling. For me, hiring her was the only no-brainer in ALL of my wedding planning, and I was thrilled that she was willing to travel for our wedding! She's been chosen as "best of Monmouth/Ocean counties" and received tons of recognition, including working with other photographers who are the "go-to" wedding photographers.

    Seriously, I can't recommend her more highly! Her name is Jenifer Rutherford, and her website is "jenrutherford.com." Feel free to PM me with any questions or if you'd like to see some of the shots from my sister's wedding, though her online gallery speaks for itself. She's unbelievably talented, and so wonderful to work with! She goes above & beyond the photographer's role, and she's so cool that you'd have her as a guest anyway :-)

    Hi there!  I'm a photographer who is very familiar with the Jersey shore area (Wildwood, Cape May, the Villas) as my boyfriend is from that area and we currently live right outside Philadelphia.  I shoot mostly portraits and I've done some wedding work.  I'm looking to shoot more weddings and I might be a good fit for you if you're working within a limited budget. http://www.samselphotography.com.

    Also, a really good place to search for a wedding photographer would be on http://www.wppionline.com (wedding and portrait photographers international) look under "find a photographer".  You will find all types of wedding photographers on there.

    I know our photographer has photographed weddings at the Jersey shore, at least South Jersey.   We highly recommend him.  Check out David Humphreys at www.dhumphreys.com.

    It all depends on the budget you are looking for.  The knot has GREAT listings of photographers by area.  These usually are the more expensive ones.  If you are on a tight budget, check out craigslist.  But be VERY careful with these ones.  Some can be very good and some can be VERY bad.  I'll be putting up a post on my blog soon on how to pick out decent craigslist photographers soon.  If you are interested, check out http://fuccisomethingblue.blogspot.com/
