  I'm using the DJ Solution - it's a husband and wife team and we felt immediately comfortable with them, like talking with a friend.  I haven't gotten married yet so I can't say for certain how they are day of, but they were referred to us by a family friend and they shared with us their results from a client survey that they did which was really positive.  They are in your range.  If you want the husband will play guitar for your ceremony and/or cocktail hour.

  Check out Spinning with Style- DJ Bri Swatek. We paid 1200 and he was really great. From the 2nd song (after our first dance obviously) to the last song the room was packed all night. He really knows his stuff.

  We're using Top Notch DJ in New Rochelle, NY. They have packages as inexpensive as $1000 up to $2500+. It all depends on what you're looking for and how fancy you want it. They're great! I definitely recommend them.
