MOB dress appropriate for beach wedding?

My fiance and I are getting married next May on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale. We've figured out all the outfits for the attendants, but our moms aren't finding anything appropriate. Any suggestions where to find dresses for the Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom that would be comfortable and appropriate for a wedding on the beach? To further complicate things, my Mom, in particular, is very conservative, and will require sleeves. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

    First of all Congrats!

    Since it will be hot during that time maybe the moms can wear a linen dress, with a light short sleeve bolero for your mom? Not sure if that's too casual or if your bridal party is going more formal.   What do you have for your attendants to wear? Is it all outdoors?

    I think you should just look for some sundresses. If your mom wants sleeves, you can always find a matching cardigan.

    i agree with rosemary... we are planning a beach wedding and my mom is looking to get a linen dress with a bolero as well..they can also wear linen pants with a nice top

    Good ideas, ladies--that sounds just about right. We'll do the reception inside, but the ceremony is, as I stated, on the beach. The girls are going to wear an assortment of light cotton dresses from J.Crew, and the boys will wear khakis and white shirts. So, I think a sundress or linen would be really good.

    Now just to find some that they like!! :-)
