Dress update

I finally got an answer out of the salon and they said the manufacturer just shipped at the beginning of this week which means there is a slim chance that it will be here this weekend when I'm in IA.  I'm so pissed.  So now I'm looking at probably next week having to get my mom to drive to DSM, try to measure and inspect the dress, wait another week for it to ship to me.....that's going to give me about 5 wks to get it altered.  It's doable, but just more stress for me now...

It's especially disappointing after seeing all of you girls post about your (sometimes final!) fittings.

    i think it can be done though i was told not even to schedule my 1st fitting till mid september-

    Where the heck is it shipping from that it would take more than 5 days? Most shipments can get to their destination within 3 or 4 when its within the US. I would bug them today and tomorrow and ask has it came in. Did they give you an expected arrival date since it has been shipped? I'm sorry you're having to deal with this!

    My guess is it's coming from the actual manufacturer...most likely over in China or where ever the dresses are made.  It's ridiculous to me that they don't have tracking numbers either.  And I'm upset that 2 weeks ago, they thought it was "just sent out" too.  So no expected day, but "most likely by the end of next week".  What the hell am I supposed to do with that?!  So much for trying on my dress this weekend.
