I'm having a tropical/Thai-influenced wedding and I wanted to use some lotus flower tealight holders as favors/placecard holders (looks like this:
http://www.shamansmarket.com/stores/ShamansMarket/catalog/c11-07_zoom.jpg ) but I'm thinking they might be too girly for the male guests, is there something I could perhaps add to make them more guy-friendly? I was thinking that I need more than these anyways, because if I just stick a card in there, they will look awfully plain. Or should I just can the whole idea and think of something else?

I think they ARE girly, but what will happen is that the female half of your coupled guests will be pleased to have two matching holders. Some people may not take one, and I expect that single men would be one of the groups likely to leave them behind, but that happens with favors anyhow. Expect to have some leftovers.
