My wedding is May 25 2013. I am getting my BM dresses at an Alfred Angelo Store (same color, length, fabric, but different styles for each girl).
The woman at Alfred Angelo told me they recommend the girls buy their dresses 8 MONTHS in advance because they can take up to 4 months to come in. One of my BMs is trying to conceive and I asked the woman what is the latest possible deadline that she could order, because 8 months ahead is just too far for her situation. The woman then said 6 months.
Another of the BMs (not the one who is TTC) told me that she thought that dresses could be purchased 3 months in advance and made it seem like she had no intention of buying a dress 8 or even 6 months out.
My question is, when do most people order their BM dresses?
I was thinking of telling all of them (except for the one who is TTC) to order by the end of October, which would be 7 months out and right between the AA store’s two “deadlines.” I think that is great time to order, because it is before the craziness of the holiday’s kicks in.
I hate telling people what to do! Is it rude for me to give the girls a deadline? Is it a mistake for me to ignore the 8 month recommendation by the store?
