wedding with a Coast Guard groom

Hi my name is Bailee. My husband and I got a JOP marriage, but are having our big ceremony this coming May. My husband is an AET in the Coast Guard and will be wearing his uniform which is mainly navy blue. My bridesmaid dresses are yellow (buttercup) and I am trying to choose another color that will go with the navy and yellow, but I am having a hard time. I want something really bright with some pop, but I don't want to be tacky. I have thought about maybe a turquoise, fushia, something fun... Any suggestions or ideas? I would GREATLY appreciate it! :)

    Congrats on your wedding and planning your vow renewal :)

    a light to medium grey? I have always liked grey and yellow, and I think they both complement blue nicely... 

    Honestly, I think if you pick a color you like with yellow, you don't need to be "matchy" to his uniform. It will look good no matter what colors you choose...

    I like the look of yellow and Navy together and think yellow is a great pop of color. I personally wouldn't want to do another real bright color. I like the idea of grey, but also you could try a lighter or brighter blue. http://www.theperfectpalette.com/ has a pretty navyblue, blue and yellow palette that I just love! (but can't open on my silly work comp!

    Pick a color that matches the yellow and it will look great with the uniform. Don't stress about it matching the uniform as well.

    I second what fire said. Maybe purple in the flowers. But I think what you have is nice.

    I like what cal said about 2 shades of yellow, that could be really nice; or even a shade of yellow and a shade that's more a cream color? 

    like amh said, I also think purple would be nice- but then again I am partial because it's my main wedding color :)

    Why do you need another color? I think the navy and yellows would be pretty! Especially with flowers, it's very easy to do shades of the same color--I had an array from white to cream in my bouquet.

    Navy and yellow does look pretty together. I third Cal's idea of another shade of yellow. I also like Fire's suggestion of grey. Good luck on your VR!

    Hello and welcome! Congratulations on your wedding, and your upcoming vow renewal! I really do think the navy blue and yellow already look great together. I am also a fan of monochromatic color schemes, so I am also in favor of doing more than one shade of blue or yellow.
