The night of the wedding

we are staying in a suite at the hard rock hotel! I am so excited. They have a Toby Keith bar and grill we are going to eat at after the reception. Then gambling in my wedding dress! I am seriously estatic. I may be more excited about this then the actual reception LOL

What is everyone else doing the night of the wedding?

Re: The night of the wedding

  • Our reception is not over until 12 am then we have a 20 minute shuttle ride to the hotel the hotel has a bar open until 2 am so I am sure we will have some drinks with our friends and family then we are going to our room to have some fun :)

  • We still haven't decided what we're doing our wedding night if we're getting a hotel or just going home and then having a car pick us up in the morning and bringing us to the airport. Either way we're probably leaving our reception an hour to an hour and a half early. The only flights we can get out the next morning are either at 6:30 or 7:00 and there's no way we're doing an after party with having to get up and leave by 3 or having an hour and a half drive the night of the wedding and having to get up at 5:00.

Your wedding night sounds like it's going to be wicked fun. :)

If I were you, I'd stay up all night . . . *winkwink*

Our wedding night, we're staying in a suite at the Four Seasons that we're actually getting for free because we booked a morning-after brunch there.

Many of our guests will probably stay at a different hotel (we blocked rooms at 3 different priced ones) so we'll probably go to that one after the reception before calling it a night. (Our reception ends at 12 also and the hotel is 25 min from the reception, but we're busing everyone back to the hotel so everyone should be at the hotel bar around 1230am).

I know we're going to be tired, but I don't care! More hours in my wedding dress. :)

  • We're staying in the HM suite at the hotel where the reception is at...Yay for a free night for us!  I'm sure we'll be at the reception until the end, have some fun in the room, and sleep in late the next day.  We aren't leaving on our HM until Tuesday night @ 11:30pm, so we have plenty of time to hang out with fam and friends after the wedding.

  • we have a free suite at the J.W. Marriott (where our reception is) so we will be staying there! i don't plan on sleeping much, nor do i plan on taking off my wedding dress for many hours.

we are doing a day after brunch but won't be getting drinks or hanging out with guests after our reception ends. then we are heading to a hotel suite by the airport and leave on monday morning at 6am for our honeymoon :)
  • That's awesome! I'm kinda jealous! lol

We are planning to just get a suite at the hotel our guests will be staying at. Most of them will be leaving the next morning, so we figured it would be nice to be there to say good bye. My parents live down the street, but no way in heck we are spending our wedding night on an air mattress in my old room LOL And since we live 17 hours from where the wedding will be, that's not exactly feasible either!

  • We'll probably not have time to do anything else after the reception but to sleep!! We're staying at a room at the hotel where our reception will be at and flying out the next day for our honeymoon!!

  • Lol probably sleeping for a month =)  seriously no idea....

  • My FI can't stand the thought of doing anything after the wedding other than being alone with me....no after party no morning of nothing but the two of us. I guess we'll have to have our own fun!

  • We have a free room at the hotel across the street from our venue. Plus we are planning an after party both in the hotel (we have a hospitality suite plus they told us we can use their lobby) and possibly at a bar/restaurant around the corner. We want to go to the bar in our wedding clothes but its not open yet and we're not sure when it will be.

  • That sounds really awesome! We have about a 45 minute drive to our hotel from the reception, we'll be getting there around midnight. And our flight leaves the next day for our honeymoon at 7:45. So we made sure to book our hotel right next to the airport, I plan on rolling out of bed and sleeping some more on the plane :]
  • We're having an after party and then heading back to one of the hotels that we have rooms blocked at. The next day we're doing a brunch and a baseball game for close family and friends. We don't leave for our mini-moon until Tuesday, so we wanted to keep the party going throughout the weekend with our guests.

  • Our reception hall is underneath a Buffalo Wild wings restaurant- not as weird as it sounds, i promise. So we might go there after, but our rehearsal dinner is also there- different location, so I am not sure.
We may just be going to our room at the JW Marriott, and "consumating the marriage" before the gift opening brunch the next day before we leave for the HM.

  • We're staying in the honeymoon suite at a hotel near our reception that we get for free with our room block, most of our guests will be staying there too. Our reception ends at 11:30 so I imagine we'll get to the hotel a bit before midnight and we'll hang out at the hotel bar for a bit with everyone staying there. And then we'll do it, haha.

  • We are booking a room at the hotel where we booked the block and will probably get it for free.  If 20 guests book we'll get it for free! Our reception ends at 11:30 and we will probably hang with friends for a bit in the lobby or a room then head to bed.  The hotel has brunch available so we are just going to do that the next day then head home to sleep before leaving on our honeymoon on Monday morning!

  • I haven't booked it yet but we are going to block out some rooms at a nearby hotel to the venue and then go for brunch the next morning. We don't leave for Jamaica until Monday morning so we will have all Sunday to regroup!
  • We're probably going to get a hotel for the weekend until Tuesday then go home. FI can only take a week off from work and he is taking his first day off Tuesday before the wedding so he has to be back to work the following Tuesday. Also depends on money. On a strict budget and may just decide to send future stepdaughter to her grandparents for a week so we have the house to ourselves.

  • Ooh... gambling in your wedding dress! I am sooooo jealous! I love Vegas :)

I think that the thought of an after party crossed my mind, but that's about it... crossed and kept going.

We rented a hotel suite near our reception venue. We aren't leaving until the Tuesday after our wedding to go on our honeymoon.
