NAVY BLUE TUXEDOS

HELP please...

I need to find navy blue tuxedos for my groom and best man.
I thought David's Bridal or Men's Wearhouse would just be able to
order them. They are saying it's not possible. I have time. Our date Sept. 01, 2012. But clearly I need to get a jump on it now.

Thanks

Re: NAVY BLUE TUXEDOS

  • I don't think they make tuxedos in navy blue.  Can they wear a navy blue suit instead?

My bridesmaids are wearing navy blue, but we are just having the groomsmen wear black tuxes.
  • I want to get navy blue tuxedo too.
  • I want a navy blue tuxedo too.
  • Navy suits are a great idea.  Jos. A. Bank does buy 1 get 2 free sales from time to time.  If the guys pooled their resources they can get a very nice suit for around 150.00 and then they'll have it forever for job interviews, weddings, work, etc.
  • You can rent navy blue wedding suits from Jim's Formalwear. I don't think you can find navy tuxes. We're planning on renting the suits for our July wedding!

    Good luck!

I haven't ordered from them before, but my fiance was looking for a navy blue tux as well.  If you make a purchase, please let me know how it turns out!
  • I love the idea of navy instead of black! Very creative and sharp! I suggest erring navy blue suits. Good luck :)

    Hi,
You can purchase them for about $250. Renting them would require going to or calling the smaller tuxedo stores and asking them. Major chains won't do it.If it is a daytime wedding you might be better off with the suit option, more practical, cheaper, and useful in the future.
  • Running into your same situation, Demea!
I also want navy blue tuxedos and have been unsuccessful at finding rental places that have them available.  I have now considered navy blue suits, which they are also unavailable at rentals.
I just noticed your wedding is now 55 days away. Any final decisions on the navy blue tuxedo situation???
  • I need navy blue tuxes too!  Has anyone found a solution??  My fiance' is wearing his Air Force mess dress, so I really hope I can find navy tuxes!
  • Any update?!?! I'm in the same boat! I want all my bridesmaids and groomsmen (and groom) to be in navy - and a suit is just too casual for our wedding.
  • Hey guys,
I'm a little knew to this posting, but I found it while searching for something similar. The theme to our wedding is navy blue and yellow, and you guys are right - finding a navy blue tux in Men's Warehouse or one of those places is pretty impossible. We'll most likely be putting our groomsmen in black tuxes with some combo of blue and yellow in the vest and tie area, but I (the groom) am currently torn between buying a sharp looking navy blue suit or going all out and buying a navy blue tux.
I've searched Macy's, Jos. A Bank, and similar stores, but I recently came across these two sites: www.tailor4less.com and www.indochino.com. Both look pretty reputable, have decent reviews across the web, and have fairly affordable and varying options for both suits and tuxedos. I'm not sure if anyone here as ever looked into either of these, but there's a good chance I'll be heading in this direction, even though the thought of buying a suit or tux sight-unseen is a little scary.
Either way, I hoped they might help.
