  i HATE the strollers at the farmers market, and i know the vendors do too.  STOP BLOCKING THE LAST OF THE SUMMER CORN.

  I disagree. Dogs have fur that ends up on the floor, flying through the air, etc. (blech!) Also, you can't restrain them (in a seat) so they can just wander as far as the leash will let them.

  
  

  OTOH, if kids can't STFU and sit for a meal parents shouldn't bring them out either. This part is an argument for introducing them to the public early (as infants) so they aren't spazzed out and socially inept once they do start going out in public with you (at 2 or whatever, which is ridiculous).

  I don't understand why animals need to be brought into malls and restaurants at all. That dog would be much happier sitting at home on the cool tile floor rather than being pushed around the mall in a doggie stroller.
  
  And ditto to what Candi said about bringing children to restaurants when they can't STFU and sit down.
