Photography question for the married ladies

Hi all,

I haven't posted here in a while... I guess once the wedding was over I didn't want to even think about weddings anymore lol!

My question is: How long did it take for you to get your CDs/Albums from your photographer? Our wedding was on January 15th and we haven't gotten the final product yet. Am I being to anxious or should I start annoying my photographer on a daily basis? ;)

    I think we got all our pictures digitally about 2 weeks after the wedding and then a CD mailed to us like a week or so after that.  We didn't get our album until about a month ago (so like 8 or 9 months after the wedding) but our photographer had some personal issues that slowed things down I think.  Her normal turnaround is faster than that I believe.  You should definitely have a CD by now though!

    BTW - It's good to see you again, Gina!  How did your wedding go?

    Have you contacted the photog to find out what to expect in the time line? Once they tell you want to expect then call them constantly if they have not delivered.

    We chose not to get albums done yet (to save money), but got all of our photos on a CD/DVD.  We had all of our wedding photos posted online, and the DVD slideshow and master disks mailed within a week.  

    I know some photographers take longer than others, esp. if you are ordering prints and albums, but there's certainly nothing wrong with you checking in with the photographer now.  Good luck!  :-)

    We received prints of all our photos about 7 weeks after the wedding.  We just received our album and slideshow discs last week (so about 4.5 months. but it took me a few weeks to select the photos and then we spent a few weeks going back and forth on the design of the album.  once it was designed and finalized it took about 3 weeks to get it).  I'll get my discs of the photos this week (my photog doesnt provide those until all the rest of the package items have been received and approved)

    I would direct ask your photog when you can expect everything

    I'd also love to hear about how your wedding turned out!

    I think somewhere between 6-8 weeks is pretty common, but check your contract to see what was agreed on. If it wasn't specified, I would definitely call them and ask for a timeline, then bug them if that's not met or reasonable.

    I got teasers exactly a month after the wedding, our online gallery was up three days after that and we got our CD about three weeks after that.

    Our photographer put up our wedding photos up about a month after our wedding (there were about 1500) so I understood why it took a while. After that she sent us the CDs not too long after that.... HTH :) Ditto I wanna hear about the wedding too!!!

    Based on those replied I think I'm not being too anxious and will start bugging him :)

    Long story short is some wedding aspects went smoothly but we had several issues which I would describe as major ones! I've been holding off on writing my vendor reviews because I'm still waiting for my final photos... I want to get all the reviews out at once. All will be explained in the reviews :)
