We are still waiting on four RSVPs - I almost certain that all four of them are declines. However, two of the invites I knew from the moment the invites went out they wouldn't be able to attend (previous engagement) however, it still would have been nice to get a phone call, or reply card... or something! One of them is one of my grandmothers - so it's really kind of hurtful that she couldn't just contact me sometime within last month (at least to say congrats?)

I have a 51% decline rate. It's kind of depressing.

Especially since all the drama that went on the first time around with the guest list, could have saved us a lot of hassle if I knew half the guest list wasn't going to show up and now FI wishes he could have invited some more friends (which we cut for cost reasons)

We're about the same for decline rate. 47 declined...still waiting on a few ppl but at this point, I'm pretty sure they are no. It's really depressing...apparently fi and I don't mean as much to these people as we thought : It kinda makes me mad too because I wanted to invite some coworkers but I had to cut them from the list for budget reasons as well. But based on all of the declines, we would have been able to invite them after all! Too late now....booooo. Eta: that should be 47 percent..not 47 people. I guess TK on my phone doesn't like when I put symbols.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. It's quite frustrating and disappointing when people that you invited can't come, especially when there are other people you would have liked to invite in their place that could have come. Look on the bright side - yes there's fewer people coming, but that also means fewer meals and drinks you have to pay for. More money to spend on the honeymoon or the house or to put into savings!

We had the same RSVP date and I'm still waiting to hear from 66 people. If everyone is a no, our decline rate will be 48%. I know that there will eb some yeses in there because people we know are coming (like FI's grandmother or my brother) haven't returned their cards yet. I'm guessing we'll end up with closer to a 30% decline rate (which is where we've been hovering the entire time with RSVPs that have actually been returned).

We had a 20% decline rate which was a bit surprising for us. I was expecting closer to a 10% rate. In the end, we've ended up saving money due to it which is great, but there a few people on the decline list that I was REALLY hoping could be there. Oh well.

I somehow managed to guestimate almost exactly how many declines we'd get. I ended up being off by one. Our decline rate was around 20 percent, and i'm soooo relieved that we don't have to pay for more seats.

I'm sorry that you are disappointed. I'm sure you will have an amazing time with the people that are there and hopefully you won't be missing anyone too much!

I'm actually really happy with our decline rate. All the people that we really wanted to be there are coming and the ones declining are FI's friends from college and high school that I've never met and I really didn't want a bunch of random people at the wedding. Even if everyone left that we are waiting to hear from decline, it will be ok. Heck, it would allow us to afford a full open bar!! Always gotta look at the positive

Ours was about 20% but I expected more like 25%. It was looking like we were going to have less than 20% in the beginning, but the non-rsvp'ers were mostly no so it turned out to be more in the end. I was nervous we were going to have close to 250 guests and we'd have space issues, but it should be fine with the amount we have.

I'm at an 8% decline rate right now but still waiting on 92 people to RSVP!! If they all are declines I'm looking at 37% decline rate. I just wish they would RSVP. I keep getting RSVPs via text and FB. My one friend asked if he could RSVP over text (this is the kind of friend I can joke about anything with) and I just told him I spent to much on stamps and to please mail it. lol! So frustrating!! Luckily I don't need final numbers until Oct 20th.

Don't worry! You'll have a great time either way. My decline rate is currently 50% exactly, and I know it will go up with the 20 something RSVP's we haven't gotten yet. It's a little higher than we expected, but not by too much. There are a few people I wish we'd invited, but oh well.

We've got a pretty high decline rate also, but honestly more of FI's family is coming than we thought. My family was pretty predictable as far as who decided to come and who didn't. We ended up right around where we wanted to be, and neither of us have a ton of friends so it wasn't hard for us to get them on the list.

We had about 24 which is much higher than I expected bc about 90 of our guests are within an hour away. My side was about 15 and my FIs was almost over 35 I has about ten more on my side to begin with so now the difference is very pronounced. What can you do though.

We are waiting on 4 people to respond that we have no idea if they will come or not but were told we were required to invite right before we sent out the invites. If they are no's then its a 20% decline rate, if they say yes then its only a 14% decline rate. I was hoping they would send back their rsvps so I can give the caterer the final numbers tomorrow when I meet with him for the final payment and venue walk thru. At this point those 4 people make the difference between tomorrow being the final payment, or having to pay extra for those 4 seats (originally told caterer 40 but if they come we are at 44) so I am kinda hoping they decline so I dont have to pay extra..

We are almost at 25%, which was a little expected. I estimated some people who would come that arent, but I was also surprised when I said others wouldnt come but are...so they equalled each other out. We still have 8 RSVP's out...and it should go to the expected 25%.

I feel you, our decline rate was not quiet that bad but we wish we would have know that several of my friends and faimly would not come because they have to travel 3 1/2 hours. I would have invited more of our friends. We invited about 95 and only have about 60 coming.

We have a 37% decline rate but a week after the rsvp date I said screw it i'm not waiting any longer and put every one remaining as a no (we emailed or talked to everyone who hadnt so that they could get in. a lot of ours were people who either didnt bring dates or their kids)

We are at about 16%, but that is including 3 people who are coming for the ceremony and then leaving to go watch the football game (really!!! I understand this is Wisconsin, but really) but as for dinner we have 18% not eating, which is fine, less ribeye to pay for.

yeah... ours is about 21%... but if the 80 rsvp's I'm waiting for are all no's, it'll be a lot higher... I'm not looking forward to finding out where we will be in a week since the wedding is 3 weeks away.

We had 13% decline. Which isn't bad, but makes me a tad bitter because none of the declines are from FI's side, so a quarter of my side isn't coming. I knew I'd have more declines than him because my side will be travelling, but there were a few people I thought would come but aren't.

My side - 66% decline (9 accepts, 18 declines)

His side - 40% decline (18 coming, 12 declines)

We had alot of people decline on FIs side and he was really bummed about it because we hadn't invited any coworkers for either of us (I don't mind this, but he's really close with his) because the number was going to be too high and I know the ettiquette queens would butcher me, but I just don't care, I emailed the list from his work today and explain the situation and said that we would love to have them there. They've been really supportive to him and I just didn't want him to feel like no one was showing up to be there for him since it was overbalanced on my side to begin with and we've had some of them respond so far and they're really excited and they've been understanding. So glad that I did it, even though it's late, at least it's better to be late then not at all and regret it was what I figured.

We had a lot of my family decline, which I wasn't really expecting. We were planning on a 25% decline and right now are at 51%. Still trying to track down the last few. We're missing RSVPs from a total of 40 people but that's actually only 12 cards because it includes several larger families.
