Rehearsal Dinner Recommendations please

I know we have been through this thread a bunch, but would love any recommendations for places that meet the following specifics:

1. We have 34 people! AHHHH!
2. Affordable. Seriously, it needs to be under $20 a person (this is where I'm getting stuck)
3. Centrally located near downtown, campus, UA, grandview, Clintonville

Places I have already tried but don't work cost wise:
Worthington Inn
Winking Lizzard
Graystone Winery
Bucca Di Beppo
My back yard- I have no grass and our deck isn't finished. Not to mention I don't want to worry about hosting it here the day before the wedding.

At this rate we're going to end up at Bob Evans so we can get FI discount on the bill, lol. Hey, it would be cheap! haha

Have you considered getting takeout? My friend and her H had olive garden catering/takeout in family style containers and served that at their home for their rehearsal. I'm not sure of the cost, but I would think under 20 for sure. I think someone did have to pick it up, but they had 2 entrees, salad, breadsticks.... And it was really yummy and turned out really good! I know you don't want to have it at your home... Maybe you could pick the food up and everyone could meet at a shelter in a local park?

I haven't tried any of these places vegeterian or vegan foods or if they are under $20 a person....so not sure if it's any help.

Tony's Italian Ristorante  I know they're probably far from vegan, but they may have some decent choices that fit into your diet.  (This is where we are having our RD).

Have you contacted Northstar? They may be able to work with you, and I know that they at least have a good vegeterian selection

    Aladdin's Eatery.

I will definitely look into those. Italian is easy for vegans, just add olive oil!

We're having ours in the back yard of FI's aunt... And we hired Junior's Tacos to cater. Yes, we're having a taco truck. I am making jello shots out of lime wedges, and it's going to be super inexpensive and casual. I just want to relax the day before! :)

What about Grandview Cafe? I went to a rehearsal dinner there and it was great. I talked to Chef Smitty there before and he was really responsive and nice. Plus they should be in your price range.

Ugh I have the vegan issue with my mom! Any place with a salad bar with nuts or roasted potatoes works for her.  We can even do takeout if the pizza place doesn't use egg in their dough we get her a stromboli with veggies, sauce and no cheese!

Seriously though... pizza and a basic salad bar with shelled sunflower seeds and lots of veggie choices should do it.  if you have a game system or some board games voila instant destresser party! Just be sure not to go too late so you aren't tired in the morning! Also avpid too much alcohol so you don't have puffy eyes, dehydrated skin and a headache on your wedding day

We are in the same boat! We are looking at Schmidts and some local golf courses. We want something casual. My future MIL called Claggaugh and they will do burgers/sandwiches etc for about 13 a person but their normal rate is only 16 for entrees
