Modern NJ Wedding Venues

I have a friend who just got engaged and really wants a very modern wedding venue. Budget doesnt seem to be an issue (must be nice haha). I was trying to give her some ideas- I heard the Newark Club and the Mezzanine in Newark both looked modern. Any other really modern places you can think of I can suggest to her? Looking mostly in the Northern NJ area. Thanks!

    Newark Museum
    Montclair Art Museum
    The Loft in Montclair
Maybe the Jersey City Hyatt just for the views...

I've been seeing similar questions a lot lately, which reminds me how much I hate this board's interface. It's hard to search, and you can't bump threads.

Stirling Ridge and Liberty House, of course. Maritime Parc in Jersey City may be open by now.

South Orange Performing Arts Center, though I've never heard of it being used for a wedding.

The same goes for the loft in Montclair, which is at 8 Lackawanna Plaza. There are photos from a blood drive here (http://www.njyp.org/photo/albums/out-for-blood) and here (http://www.njyp.org/photo/albums/out-for-blood-1). I also found these pictures of the space set up for a sit-down dinner (http://www.facebook.com/pages/New-York-NY/MEWE-Montclair-Entertaining-and-Wedding-Expo/109748249050538#!/album.php?aid=13038&id=109748249050538). Here, it doesn't look as bad, but it clearly took a lot of work to get it that way. Honestly, it's not an appealing space - unlike most city lofts you see weddings done in, it's dark and the ceiling seems quite low -  but since it keeps coming up on these threads, I'm curious if anyone's ever held a wedding there. It just wasn't going to be me.

Museums: Liberty Science Center (exclusive caterer charges $200+), Montclair Art Museum (bring your own caterer, and I think there are a lot of restrictions), Morris Museum

Hotels: W in Hoboken, maybe the Dolce in Basking Ridge (or, if you don't mind crossing the state line, Dolce IBM Palisades)

The Liberty House and Stone House at Stirling Ridge have more modern feels. If money isn't an issue, maybe right over the tunnel at Studio 450? The W in Hoboken or Jersey City.

Maybe Westmount Country Club... it's not modern in the sense that it is a wedding banquet hall, but the cocktail room you get with the ballroom at Westmount is modern.  It's designed to be lounge-y with leather chairs/banquettes and velvety couches and such.  It definitely looks modern.  They also set up a lounge area (if you want) in the ballroom for the reception.

The Dolce at Basking Ridge is very modern in my opinion.

IDK what the Hoboken W looks like inside, but when I inquired with them they said that their ballroom does not have NYC skyline views.

I was also going to suggest the Liberty Science Center. Too rich for my blood, unfortunately.

Maybe The Chart House in Weehawken?
