New York

It's starting already! VENT

So I sent out my STDs about a week or two ago to about 80% of our guests. I'm still getting some addresses for the people who have moved, or those who have moved out of their parents' house, etc. Since our wedding is on a holiday weekend and most of our guests are out of town, I wanted to send these out much earlier. So I just sent what I had and am sending the others as I get the addresses. Apparently this was a mistake, because I got this facebook message last night from my aunt

AREN'T CUZ INVITED TO YOUR WEDDING

No really, that's the whole message. Do I even need to explain to you all how annoyed I am right now? Yell Seriously, what kind of a message is that!?

(For clarification, this aunt has two daughters, one who I sent an STD and one who moved and has one coming in the mail.)

People did the same thing to me.  I sent those further away out first, then those who lived closer a few days later.   You can't please everyone all the time...don't let it bother you.  They will feel stupid when they get their's later on!

She did get one. And when is it okay to ask who is invited to someone else's wedding? If you're invited you'll get an invitation!

This happened to me too!! I was waiting for FI to get me addresses for his aunt, but had sent magnets to his other aunts. He got a text from his sister saying that Aunt Jane heard that Aunt Doe got a magnet, but she didn't. That was a wake up call to FI haha, but it was embarrassing and annoying at the same time. She shouldn't assume like that, and there's plenty of time left too. Grrrrrrr!

So she called me out for not sendind everything at the same time, which is fine, but her message is just rude. Maybe I could cut her some slack if she phrased it more like "I got your save the date! It's so cute. My daughter hasn't received one yet, did hers get lost?"

    A girl can dream.

Coming from someone who wishes she really hadn't stressed the small stuff during wedding planning....LOL....

I say as long as everyone gets one at some point...you'll be ok.   Obivously asking why so n so didn't get their's is very, very rude, but take it as a lesson learned. When you send out your invites....do them all in one shot!  Trust me...it will save you future headaches!  Good luck :0)

I feel for you. This is the type of thing that would drive me crazy.....for the same reason it's driving you crazy. Not only because she asked, but the way she asked. Even just a grammatically correct, complete sentence would be nice. So many people these days rely way too heavily on things like Facebook or texting to communicate, even when it's inappropriate for the occassion. I'd just ignore her, and hold on to her other daughter's STD even longer just to make them sweat :)

    Me too!  Lol.

OP... sorry you had to deal with such a boob.  I might have to make sure her invite *oopsie* gets delayed making it to the mailbox.

I love that you used this insult because this week my FI was complaining at work about how he hates training other people because "he's always dealing with a bunch of boobs" and his female coworkers got all offended because they thought he was talking about them!
