i get up around 5:30 to make it into work by ~7. i was running a little late today, but don't consider it a big deal since I'm going to be spending half of the day in the car.
i have my regular biweekly telecon with the global team (the one where I can only understand about 20% of what is said during the 1.5 hour meeting) followed by a drive to one of our plants to meet with a supplier. I asked the guy running the telecon to let me present early in the call so i can get on the road - hopefully he saw my note.
plant is a 75-90 minute drive from the office, and (probably) about 2 hours from my house during rush hour.
Supplier meeting is shaping up to be VERY painful, and is scheduled to last at least 3 hours.
The only thing that makes this worthwhile is that there is a FANTASTIC BBQ place a mile or so from the plant. I'm meeting up with a couple of my colleagues before our supplier meeting for lunch. mmmmmm ribs and brisket.... *drool*
