Hair Recs North/Central NJ

Hey ladies.  I was wondering if anyone could recommend a hair stylist.  I live in Central Jersey, but will be getting married in North Jersey so either area is fine with me, as long as they are willing to travel.  My current hair stylist won't be able to travel to our ceremony location.

Also, is it to early for me to book a hair stylist?  It was easy for my when I thought I'd be using my current lady, but now that I can't, I'm not sure when to book or have trials.

    Where exactly are you looking for in North Jersey.  And do you want a stylist to come to you or a salon that you can will go to.

    I would prefer the stylist to be able to come to me since I will be at either the hotel or the venue getting ready.  The venue is in West Paterson.

    Definitely book sooner than later.  The good ones, like Mandy Liento, can book up over a year in advance.  I booked my hair person over a year in advance just so I could have peace of mind that I had someone I liked.  At the time I didn't have a dress, veil, or any idea what I wanted to do with my hair.  But I went for a consultation and she showed me her work and I felt very comfortable booking with her.  My stylist is based out of Allenhurst, so West Patterson may be a bit far for her to go.

    Check out Jeanine LaMacchia.  I had looked into using her, but she is located too far up in North NJ that I didn't feel like driving that far just to meet with her and do trials.

    Ditto on all of this!  I will say though that me and the BP liked Donna's work better than the assistant that she brought with her.  So just check out who the assistant will be first - I don't remember her name.
