Pere Marquette Lodge

We are interested in having our wedding and reception here.  They seemed nice when we visited and we liked the space and the idea of having everything in one place and the natural scenery.  Our reservations are arranging the outdoor ceremony, and that, while good for indecisive us that so many popular dates are available, it makes us a little nervous that something is not so good.  Anyone have experience with this site?

I checked it out when I was looking for a location. We wanted to get married in a natural setting also. I thought the lodge was beautiful but the problem I had was the cabins that are located around where the ceremony would be. Just becuase I would not want people going in and out of their cabins in the middle of everything. We decided on the Jewel Box in forest park.

I took an AP test here, and it was nice and quiet- it is kind of far out for many people.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.  We sent the website to a friend who was helping us decide and she caught that there is a two-night minimum stay for people who want to stay at the lodge!  I don't think we can ask that of our wedding guests.  We also heard from a friend of my FBIL that they had a really bad time working with them.  Does anyone have any experience to confirm or deny either of those?  I would be really interested in a review from someone who was married there.
