MOB Dress

Hi All!
I ws wondering if anyone had good suggestions on where to find a MOB dress on a budget.  My Mom is on disability, so I am paying for her wedding day hair, make up , nails and dress.  She insists that she wants something shapeless and "flow-y" because she thinks she's fat.  I've tried to explain that a shapelss dress is going to make her look bigger and older than she is, but I don't think she gets it.  I don't really care as long as she feels pretty.  I would, however, like to go somewhere that has a large selection so she can try on as many styles as possible.  Also, I may bring my FMIL with us so she can find a dress, too.  She is very petite (probably a hair under 5').  Where's the best place to go for this.  I LOVE my bridal shop (Alexandra's Bridal) and they have some beautiful dresses, but I think they'll be a bit pricey.  Does Party Dress Express have MOB dresses?  How about any department stores that may have them?  Should I just go up to Providence Place Mall and wander around?  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, I should add that my budget is $200-$250 IF we find the right dress.

I went shopping with my dad's wife and we first scoured the mall stores. We did find a few things at Macy's, but nothing that was quite perfect, so we ended up at David's Bridal and they had a lot of choices. She was concerned about her size, too, but she's a 20-22 and found several options there. She found a dress with a short jacket for about $200 I think? There were several options in your price range; the one she picked was the most expensive she had tried on.

MIL bought hers at DB, too; ended up buying a BM dress and adding a wrap to it. It was nice and flowy. And I think it was maybe $150?

Edited to add: Both bought theirs off the rack but you can order up to size 26 or 28 in many styles.

We haven't gone yet....but last time I was hanging out with my mom, I asked her if she's thought about what she wants to wear to the wedding...

    Nope...

So she googled "mother of the bride dresses" and ended up on the Nordstrom page, where stuff was surprisingly affordable (I want to say less than $100). I think we are going to try Providence Place first so we can look at Nordstrom and Macys.

I notcied Alfred Angelo, which is Attleboro by the Emerald Square Mall, has some mother of the bride dresses....if you strike out at Providence Place, you could try there?

My mom got hers at Nordstrom and my FMIL got hers at Cinderella's (where I got my dress).  Nordstrom had a pretty good selection and we ended up ordering online after she tried a dress on in the store that they didn't have in her size.

Nordstrom has a nice selection. My Aunt got hers there and it was really pretty- plus they have a nice plus sized line as well.

I think my Mom may be getting hers at Davids too. I really like the ones that she tried on there.

    Thanks ladies!

We're going to party dress express on Saturday.  A co-worker recommended them.  She got a dress for her daughter's wedding there and said they were very helpful.  They have a huge selection, so I figured we'll start there and move on to the mall if we strike out.  I had no idea Nordstroms was so affordable!  We'll have to stop there, too!  Thanks again!

I took my mom to Botticelli in North Providence.

They had lots of dresses in your price range all in plus sizes!  Their service was AMAZING and the set her up with everything she needed!  Bra, Spanx, etc!  They were very respectful of bugets and we FUN!

Check them out!  I worked with Rosemary but the owner is Jan.  They were young & fun!  My mom had so much fun!
