Hi, all

I am super excited to share a couple things, please allow me to indulge:
1) When I received my dress a few months back, I noticed the large, beaded applique was crooked (pic of my dress in my bio). The women at the store told me multiple times that it was correct ("in line with the rouching"), despite me showing them pictures. Since there was no longer a sample available, there was nothing for us to see in person. I went home feeling very down about my dress.
I decided to go to a seamstress yesterday to have her check it out (found her recommendations on my local board). Well, not only did she tell me that, yes, the beading IS crooked, but that it's a super easy fix. She immediately went to work and re-aligned it... and I felt instantly better (plus, it was nice to feel validated)! It looks SO great now, and she hasn't even started sewing it! She also thought of some other awesome things to help make my dress fit me better

I wasn't planning to go in this early - I'm not getting anything fitted yet - but I needed to know if my beading was "fixable" or if I'd have to live with it (which is not my style).
2) January 1, 2012, came as a shock to me. After being engaged for almost 2 years, it hit me that my wedding will be coming up quick! I completely changed my diet last week and started working out hardcore. With only one week's (very hard) work, I've lost 5 pounds. My goal was 20 by the wedding! Woot!
Thanks for letting me share

Happy Sunday!
Re: AW: Dress alterations and weight loss :)
Best of luck to you guys on your weight loss, too!
I was checking out your bio, and I noticed that you want to go to the Wicked Spoon. I loved it there. I went early Dec., and there was no line. I guess the "buzz" hadn't hit yet, b/c when I went again the end of Dec., there was massive lines. You might want to call to see if they can accommodate without having to wait. Or if you have status with a players card from another casino, you should go to their card program and see if they can up your status with them, I updated my status and don't have to wait in the lines.

Yeah, it seems like its popularity waxes and wanes, based on reviews I've read. We can do a group booking, which I've already looked into, but I don't think we'll have very many people (maybe 5-10, max). We've talked about going over early so we can make sure we get a table... and it may just end up being my FI and I. It's still just a musing - I want to visit at some point! I do have a players card with them. Thanks for your advice! :)
Thanks, Lauren! :)
