loooong engagements

a long engagement sounded like a good idea- that way we could put more money away so that we could pay for it ourselves. After spending ALL DAY gathering up everything , photographing and posting them for sale on my weebly site I realized I probably would not have bought so many extra things or changed my mind nearly as much if we had just gotten married last summer! Any one else find themselves in the same boat? The more time passes... more and more "stuff" ends up in my boat! Time to downsize!

I was engaged 2 and half years so I understand.

I would hold off on buying a ton of stuff and just gather ideas.

This.  My engagement will be about 2 years long.  I've bought nothing, just got my vendors.  Maybe this Fall I'll stock up on fall stuff when it's on sale for my Oct 2012 wedding.

I too had a long engagement (2.5 years).  Just enjoy the extra time to gather up ideas.
