  I can only imagine that is super frustrating.  If you gave her the requirements of the dress and told her where to order it and by when, then the ball was in her court.  If she doesn't order it in time to have it for your wedding, then she has removed herself from the wedding party.  This part is easier said than done: try not to worry about it because there is nothing you can do.

  I agree that the logical consequence of not having the dress is she's not in the WP. Again, easier said than done but again that is really the ONLY responsibility of a BM and she has failed.

  I would call her and as calmly as you can say "I'm really concerned that you haven't purchased the dress yet. I'm worried that you won't have a dress for the wedding if you don't order something from David's Bridal right away." Is the cost the reason she has gotten one yet? Tell her there are short dresses that are on sale for $60 at DB that are in the color scheme.
  
  Try not to scream or yell or get crazy. Even if she snaps at you remain calm.
  
  If cost is an issue. If you could offer her $30 to help her buy one  of the dresses that are $60. I'm sure that would make a big difference in her eyes and would relieve your stress.

  DB has specials going on ALL the time. So, I don't think its the price issue. Offer to go with her. 

  Picking out a dress that she likes but wonder if you like is stressful!!!!!

  I know my FMIL is going through that now, and I really don't mind as long as the girls are covered and I won't have to sit her in a corner so no one sees her. lol. Just kidding.

  
  

  But seriously, offer to go with her this weekend and express how important she is to you and that you think she will be beautiful in whatever she chooses. But, don't be obnoxious about it.

  I think you need to try and talk to her one more time. Tell her that if she hasn't ordered her dress from David's Bridal by Saturday, you'll take that as her removing herself from your bridal party. And I know DB might have said it won't be in in time, but most of their dresses come in WAY under when they said they would. I had to get a bridesmaids dress from there that wasn't supposed to be in until the end of March and they came in the beginning of February.

  If the dress is will not be in on time. And you gave her a deadline. Whatelse can you do. Maybe if you live near her ( and you can contact her) you too can see if there is something on the rack at db in your colors that she can wear if not. I would chuck it up as another one bits the dust and continue without her.

  I'm getting married in June too, and as far as I know none of my BMs have ordered their dress yet. DB also told me it would take three months to come in. However, they told me when I ordered my wedding dress that it wouldn't be in until May, and I got it in January, three weeks after ordering. Don't freak out too much. They just have to tell you the longest possible time it could take.

  
  

  Talk to your BM. She's your friend, and something is obviously going on. If she doesn't get the dress, she removes herself from your wedding party, unless you care more about having her with you than her matching everyone.

  I know this isn't the point of what you're venting about, but, I ordered my wedding dress and my girls ordered their dresses from DB.  I ordered my dress in October, DB said it would come in in January.  It came in in November!  BM's ordered their dresses early bc DB said instead of being a 3 week order it changed to an 8 week order.  Surprise!  Dresses came in in 2 WEEKS!  I know it's frustrating bc she hasn't ordered it, but try and relax.  She can always buy something off the rack is worst comes to worst.
