    Love that show! I'm trying to figure out how they are now becoming zombies without getting bitten or scratched. I totally wasn't expecting Shane to get killed in this episode.

    The virus is in everyone but it only activates when you die...that's my assumption anyway.

    I'm guessing the virus has mutated to become airborne.  so you can catch it while still alive and if you die any way other than being shot in the head you turn into a zombie.
