Question About Picking Up My Wedding Dress

So on Friday I got an email that my wedding dress is in at Bridal Mart. I'm really excited to see my dress again. My mom is driving through Burlington on Tuesday and I was going to have her pick it up for me. I am not having the people at Bridal Mart do the alterations. My questions is do I need to try on the dress for any reason at Bridal Mart before taking it? Did you guys just look over the dress or what?  I basically need to figure out if my mom can pick it up instead of me.

Thanks!

I would ask your mom to look over it and check for stains and rips, and to make sure it's the correct dress, but I don't see anything wrong with you not being there for the pick up. My dress was shipped to me from a bridal shop across the country, so it had to be fully paid for before anyone saw it. There were no problems.

I would try it on for sure and look over it yourself. The size might be wrong or they might have accidentally ordered you a petit dress. Accidents happen..so I would just go and check for yourself, because once you walk out the door with the dress they are no longer responsible.

I have to agree, I would go try it on at the store. It probably wont take you too long to put it on and it'll leave you with a lot less stress.

Accidents do happen and like pp said, a lot of stores claim that once it leaves the store, it's yours. At least, that's been my experience.

Thanks guys! I will probably just go after work one day this week to get it myself. I agree that that will be the safest plan.
