Marriage License Question

Hi Ladies!
My FI and I are getting married on May 14 in Walton Hills!! (Summit County or Cuyahoga County)
I don't know the process of obtaining our marriage license. When should we go go ours, where do we go for it and do we need to bring it on our honeymoon? If there is anything else I missed about it, please let me know! TIA!! :)

It is good for 60 days from issue. You AND FI must go together to get it. Cash only. Have your SSN on hand in case they ask for it. You may get it in the county of either your or FI's residence and if you are from out of state, get it in the county where you will be married.

Don't bother changing your name until after you return from your honeymoon. (You can't do it until then by law anyway.) Get all travel docs issued in your maiden name (airline/cruise tix, etc) and use your current passport if traveling out of the country.

Ditto.  Here's the link for the Summit County Probate Court, which should answer all your questions:  http://summitohioprobate.com/MarriageAppl.htm
