First post and I need help please!!

I just got engaged about two months ago and we have our wedding date set for Feb. 5, 2012. We already have the venue for the ceremony booked at the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. We're planning on it being very small, under 30 people. What I am desperate for help is a venue for the reception!! Our budget is very tight, $5,000 and we're looking to just do a simple lunch or dinner at a restaraunt hopefully close to the ceremony site. If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to stay under budget and still pull this off please let me know! I'd greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks! =)

If you are looking into restaraunts Maccaroni Grille generally has a private room you can use for a nice reception

Carrabba's is nice for a rehearsal dinner.

Hi! I live in Fort Myers and here are some good suggestions close to Edison/Ford that won’t break the bank. It's good you are starting early since February is peak season here. I would  recommend the top two places the most for many reasons. The Veranda Restaurant- Elegant southern style place, great food. Beautiful outdoor courtyard. The Edison- Clubhouse restaurant at a nice local golf course near by. Good food, option of private rooms.Royal Palm Yacht Club- literally right next door to Edison/Ford and on the water.Hotel Indigo (nice place to stay too!)The Morgan House- nice restaurant near by.McGregor Café- Don’t know if they host large groups or not, but it may be a good spot for a rehearsal dinner or brunch.   There are a Carrabba’s and a Macaroni Grill in Fort Myers, but I don’t know that they have private rooms, and they are not near Edison/Ford. There is a great coffee shop nearby in downtown called Bennett’s with hand-cut donuts J check them out too while you are down there! Feel free to ask if you need any other vendor recommendations!
