My fiance and I are on a tight budget for our wedding. We are trying to cut costs where we can. One way that I was thinking to cut costs was to only give out bubbles with ribbon tied on as our favors that people would blow as we left. Is that inappropriate? I feel like people do not expect favors at weddings as much as they used to. Any thoughts on the subject?

    I think favors are nice, but not a necessity.  I wouldn't feel bad if I went to a wedding and didn't get a favor.  Often, they get thrown away shortly after the wedding or left on the tables anyways.

    Maybe try asking in the etiquette board?
