April 2012 Weddings

RSVP

So...todays the day.  Its our RSVP date.  We only need to contact about 10 people/families!  So we should have a pretty close number by the end of the day!!  :)

Re: RSVP

  • yay RSVP date!  Mine is next week, and I still have quite a few to get back in, which I figured would be the case.

This... And it's pretty much all my cousins that have dropped the ball. I'm a little miffed about it.
  • I sure hope I can say the same thing when our RSVP dates come up 2 weeks from today.  We only have about 60 total that are coming as of now.  And we invited about 200!!! I have a bad feeling we will be calling a lot of people!
  • So far so good.  FI had 6 families and I had 4 to get in touch with. FI's done better than me today...i've been focusing on homework!  lol  I've got 2 projects due this weekend...one i just finished!  :)  Okay, time to sit down & call some people!!  haha

Only a couple people so far are still "maybes" which is okay with us b/c the venue asked us to put an additional 10% down for extras or just-in-case type situations.  So we figure we'll put them down as no's and if they show up, it'll come out of that fund.

[QUOTE]Great advice you all, but I know these ppl and they did receive the invitations and they do it all the time. You must be on the Guest list to even come inside so I am not making it my concern after the rsvp deadline....I have so much other things and I am stress free. The type of person I am is go with the flow, I do not let ppl get on my nerves, add problems to my life. Everyone of them did receive it!! They are just that type of ppl. Show up late to everyones wedding and never rsvp and NEVER come!!!!!! I invited them bc they are FI ppl and friends. (they are a hot mess) I am hoping and praying they don't rsvp.

yeah....still not a good idea.  And not being a gracious event host.  15 phone calls seriously will take you one weekend afternoon, less if both you and FI split them.
  • Our RSVP date is Thursday and still missing 73 responses (that's people, not actual response cards as most of those have at least two people on the invite. I am sure we will have to follow up with a few
  • Our date has passed, and we still have a few MIA's (about 15). I decided to send FB messages to several of them to ask about their RSVP (this is how I communicated with them to get addresses for STDs and invites), and was met with a lot of dead air...particularly annoying is one guest who I tried to call, left a voicemail, and sent another FB message, who still hasn't responded, even though I see them posting to fb constantly. WTF? I don't want to hound people like a telemarketer, but this is driving me a little crazy.
