Secret Santa/Registry

At work we do a Secret Santa where everyone picks someone and we post a "Wish List" so that everyone has an idea of what to get each other. My FI and I recently registered for our wedding (sept 2011 wedding). Is it okay to ask my secret santa to buy off the registry? Or is that tacky? I just can't think of anything else to ask for. Thanks!

    I wouldn't.  But maybe you could pick 3 things from your registry for your wish list and just delete whatever you end up getting from the registry?

    I agree with pp. If she knows you are getting married, then perhaps she will look at your registry. If not, take what you get and if you don't want it, you can exchange it if they give you the gift receipt.

    What do people normally put on their wish list?  I'd stick with tradition of what people normally put.  If it's household stuff, awesome, pick a couple of things off the registry and ask for that.  If it's more personal stuff, use the opportunity to stock up on lotion or bubble bath.
