Mystery Gifts

I'm looking for some advice/feedback.  My fiance and I are registered at Sears.  The other day a package arrives from Sears containing a gift off our registry.  The only problem - there is no indication who it's from.  The only other thing in the box was the UPS packing slip with my name as the recipient and Sears as the sender.  I called the store, as well as, sears.com but they weren't able to help me.  They told me they couldn't tell me who bought the gift.  Has anyone else faced this situation?  I'd really like to send a thank you note to the person who sent it, but how do I do that if there's no way to tell who it came from?  I'm also wondering if this is a typical problem with Sears registries when guests make their purchases online.  Thanks for your help!

Re: Mystery Gifts

  • There's not an order slip in there somewhere? Poke around, it may have gotten stuck in something (one of ours got stuck under a flap in the box). If not, can you check your registry online? I know Macy's has a "Thank you card manager" that will let you see who sent a gift, not sure about Sears, but they may have something similar.
  • I tore apart the box and there was nothing else in it, attached to it, or hidden.  But thanks to your suggestion I found the "Thank You View" on the registry website which helped reveal the giver!  Thanks so much for your help!
