Dress Shopping

So today is the second time I tried on dresses. I found 4 that I like, but I still cannot decide. How many times did everyone shop for a dress and how many boutiques did you go to?
So far I have been to Alfred Angelo- found nothing.
                                   Langs Bridal- found 3
                                   Mockingbird Bridal found 1

Is this normal?????

    2 days, 3 places, LOTS of dresses. When I found the one I knew it and stopped looking. I got mine at Terry Costa.

    I think if your still looking then you probably haven't found "the one".   I went to probably 5 boutiques.  When I tried on my dress, I knew without a doubt that it was the one and purchased it.

    I might be the exception here.  I went to one shop.  It was the first dress I tried on.  I tried on one more but it paled in comparison.  However, I think you should keep looking and not feel bad.  My SIL looked for three months--I did think that was a little extreme.

    I went to Alfred Angelo, Mockingbird, Demetrios and Lasting Bridal Courture.  I ended up getting mine from Lasting Bridal Couture.  Oh and I went to Circle Park.
    I was having a hard time deciding too, but the day my mom and sister went with me, there reaction told me which dress was mine!

    I only went to one shop and I tried on 5 or 6.  I went in with stock numbers beforehand (but didn't end up with any of those dresses!).  I'm weird though--the dress, while an important decision, just wasn't an emotional investment for me like it is for most brides.

    The first time I got married, I bought the first dress I tried on.  Maybe go back and try on those 4 again, and maybe take someone different with you.  If none of them do it for you, keep looking.  You'll find it, don't worry!

    I'm with Julie, I found a dress on the Maggie Sottero website that I loved; I went to the shop, tried the dress on and bought it.

    I went to countless stores and tried on almost 100 dresses before I finally tried on "the one"  I agree with PP if you aren't thinking any of the ones you have tried on, are "the one" then keep looking.  You will find your dress.

    I went to Mockingbird Bridal, LuLu's, Lasting Bridal in Addison, Ocone's in Ft. Worth, the Lewisville bridal salon and even flew to Arkansas to try on "my" dress that I found on the Maggie Sottero website. I really couldn't even tell you how many dresses I tried on.

    Even with all of that, I wouldn't say I knew it was "the one" when I tried it on. I narrowed it down to 2 and then polled the audience. EVERYONE picked the same dress so I went with it.

    I went to two shops and tried on maybe 10 or so at each. And you know, I don't know if I felt any kind of "moment" when I first put on my dress. I tried on another two dresses after it, and I just wanted to put "my" dress back on. And when I did, it was the only one I didn't want to take off. That's how I knew. With my matron of honor, we went shopping on three separate occasions before she found her dress. And she probably tried on 2-3 dozen dresses. 

    Take your time, find one that is flattering on you, that you'll love wearing all day. Don't feel bad for taking "too long". It's a big financial commitment and you want to make the right decision.

    I went to 5 salons, while there were dresses that looked good on, there was always something about them that I didn't like.  I finally picked my dress because it looked good on, didn't have anything in particular i didn't like (I wanted lace free), and was in my budget.  Purchased it, end of story.

    But I'm like Stephie, the dress wasn't an emotional item for me.  I just wanted to check it off the list, and I like what I have.  I mean, there's endless amounts of dresses out there, and I didn't want to end up in a situation where "the one" was like a $10,000 Oscar de la Renta or something...

    I went to EVERY bridal salon in Dallas and this was spread over - oh about 6 months.  So, no worries - at least you won't be as crazy as me.  :)
