Wedding Recap and Withdrawal

frustrated

I am ending my current teaching job, moving to a place 2 hours away where there is a hiring freeze on teachers, finishing school work on Friday and moving from my apart on Saturday, planning a destination wedding basically by myself- with help from my fiancé, planning a reception back at home 2 weeks later, trying to find a new job in my new residence.
I am frustrated. any thoughts? advice?

Re: frustrated

  • "The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you"

There is not good being frustrated! You can do it. Have confidence and be strong. Your wedding will be amazing and your reception! Everyone that will be there is there to see you and your fiance get married.

As for moving, just get through it. Its a part of life no need to stress about that either. Be relaxed everything will get taken care of.

sound like you need to take 5 minutes to yourself!

good luck! I am sure things will be perfect!
  • When I got married, I was also moving 2 1/2 hours away and looking for a job. That was an incredibly busy time with all the last minute wedding preperations. I got so stressed out at the end, it was unreal. I didn't have a destination wedding or a second reception to plan, so I can only imagine how you are feeling.

My only advice, is to make sure you take time for yourself.  This sounds so cliche, but it is so important.  The last week before the wedding was all about me-pamper yourself. You deserve it! And don't be shy asking for help! There are probably more people willing to help you than you might think. Good luck with everything.

  • Wow, good luck and keep us posted. I can't imagine quiting a teaching job in today's economy. Anyway you can retract your resignation and find a place to live maybe an hour away?
  • After the storm, there is calm

Things will get better, hang in there
  • I'm so glad to be where I am now! I am in my new home with my new husband and all is well. :-) I'm still looking for a teaching job, but I'm sure something will come up. It's funny how all the things you worry about before a wedding aren't on your mind when you walk down the aisle looking at your man. Things don't always go exactly as planned, but in the end you are married to a wonderful person and you have each other-that's all you need.
