Shirley Acres vs The San Luis Resort in Galveston

So my FH and I have visited about 20 different places and have narrowed it down to two places.  Can anyone give me any information about these two places? They both are on different parts of town (which is not a problem) and are around the same price. Shrley Acres has everything included except photographer and car.  San Luis has a $5000 food min, honeymoon suite, and car. We would need to get the flowers, dj, and cakes. If anyone has been to a wedding in either of these places please let me know.

Sweet Pea had her reception at the San Luis. If she doesn't respond here try sending her a PM or paging her.

I had my reception at the San Luis and LOVED it. My coordinator was Stacey there, and she was amazing! They did everything for me. The friday before the reception I came in with several boxes of "stuff" I wanted put out and they did it all. The service was great and the food was AMAZING. Everyone loved it. They were also flexible on the hours, etc. Highly reccomend it!

Aggiekrys: Was it hard finding all the other vendors? If you dont mind me asking around how much was your wedding? We are trying to stay around $10,000-`12,000 and we don't know if adding all the other vendors will be a lot more.

How many people are you having? That makes the biggest difference. We had almost 300 people and its per person. I used Cakes by Jula in League City for my cake. Nasa Flowers did my flowers. I used Sky Mike from 93Q for my DJ.
