    We thought about Comerica Park, but it was outrageously priced.

    Nice list of historic venues.

    I'd also recommend any brides who have not booked a place yet take the link in the article from Metro Detroit Bride and review those places as well. Lots of restaurants in there I would never think of for a wedding. Link here also:

    Also, word of warning: THe city of Detroit is looking to sell many of their assets, according to a story I read this week. On the list is Belle Isle and the buildings there. PLEASE look into this before booking anything there!

    I wanted the Masonic Templed for our reception so bad, but my family really hated the idea of us getting married in Detroit (I am from the Flint area) so we opted for a Pontiac. Pretty cool list.
