impossible wedding venue?

I'm looking for a venue to rent for a themed wedding, it's got to have a well maintained outdoor area as well as an indoor area.(preferably a barn or an old house) I'm just looking to rent the VENUE ONLY I wish to be able to choose my own cater as well as decorate the venue the way I want. It also needs to have enough space for about 120 people and must have an indoor bar.

Is there anyone out there that knows of a place like this?

Thanks!

Is there a specific amount you wanted to spend (either total $ for the reception or $ per person)? Also, is there a specific part of MA you want to target your search to?

I belive there's a lot of historic mansions that you can rent... What is your price point? Would you be open to a tented wedding on their lawn?

What area are you looking at? You are going to have much more luck and options outside the city for a historic mansion/barn that allows outside catering. You might want to check out the Commandants house if you're looking for more of a boston locale-- they're in Charlestown on the water. They do allow outside catering, and can decorate it however you want but you do need a wedding planner/contact.

No there is really no area in MA that I wish to limit it to I've been doing research for about 4 weeks now and I can't seem to find a place that has what we're looking for. I want to find as many options as possible so price right now is not a question.

    Glen Magna Farms, Danvers
    Codman Estate, Lincoln
    Lyman Estate, Waltham

All have indoor & outdoor spaces and have a list of preferred caterers that you can choose from.  They may also be flexible if you have another reputable, licensed & insured caterer in mind.  Our reception is at Glen Magna Farms and they are allowing us to use a caterer that is not on their list.

    Good luck!

Have you looked into Camp Kiwanee in Hanson, MA? I had a friend who had her wedding there and she was very DIY and provided much of her own decorations and lighting and they were quite flexible. It is really pretty and is on a lake. Very rustic!! Good luck!!
