  • Stina your polls are great!  I don't always get a chance to answer but they really are fantastic.
  • I'm going to Disney World for a little less than a week ... I'm actually not sure how much time I'll get for a re-cap, because we're actually leaving the day after the wedding.

Due to the vacation time we were taking and not being able to afford airfare (Yes, we're driving from NJ. No, I'm not totally out of my mind, lol), we pretty much had to decide if leaving the very next day was worth an extra day "on" vacation ... to us, it was.

But, I will definitely be wh0ring details (And maybe some non-pro pics) the day I'm back.

  • And I'm going to miss everybody ... well, all the "good" regs at least (Yeah, I'm not going to miss having my parades rained on, lol).

I'm hoping that by the time I'm back that everybody else who abandoned us will be back, too.

I'm really having a hard time to believe that it's only 3 weeks away!

Has anybody ever "sqeee"d themselves to death? Lol.

  • I want to go to Mexico ... I'll just have to hit up Epcot's "Mexico" as a consolation, lol.

  • I'm so excited to go! I'm really excited about the wedding, obviously, but I think lately I've been more excited about the idea of going to Disney World, lol.

  • Meg, when I was getting married, I was more excited about the honeymoon....lol, not even for the sexy time, just for the vacation.

Oh, and one time I went to Epcot and wrote on my facebook that I was jetsetting to different countries and people were so confused until one wrote, "Are you at Epcot again?" It was pretty funny.

You're the one who said that you like Epcot because it's educational, right?

  • Yes, I'm the nerd that likes the educational value of it, lol. But Magic Kingdom is my absolute fave.

And for me, the HM isn't really about the sexy time, I know it's supposed to be, but Auntie Flo is apparently going to be tagging along, so we only have a small window of freedom in that dept.

Actually, it was because of that we picked Disney. Once I found that out (I'm on the pill, I do "calendar math" all the time), I didn't want to go booking some fancy romantic resort or cruise, knowing that 3 days in, I was going to bite FI's head off for comparing my beauty to the sunset or something like that, lol.

    Disney's fun and no pressure.

  • Not to give you peer pressure, but you CAN alter your period for this month if you want. My period was going to fall on our honeymoon so I skipped it. It was great.

If you go to Epcot, definitely do the Kim POssible thing. You get to check out all the nooks and crannies of the world showcase....and dude, I totally agree that the honeymoon is not ALL about sexy time. After too much, it's annoying and can be painful. I like playing board games...

  • Skip it, skip it!  I was going to start my period half way through our honeymoon.  I was thinking, there is no way I am going to be on my period while in Hawaii.  Just skip the filler pills and start the next pack (make sure you double check with your obg that it will be okay)

  • I'm not sure, I know other people do this with success ... I just get nervous because women in my family tend to get pregnant very easily, so I'm not sure if skipping would be tempting fate.

Most important I will not be on my period for the wedding ... I also will get a few days on the HM uninterrupted (I'm one of those girls that gets it at like the same hour every month) ... the big concern I had was the wedding day (Because, let's face it, who wants to be bloating and crabby on their wedding day, lol).

It's ok, I've done Disney before with Auntie tagging along ... it's kinda sucky, but as long as I keep on schedule with Pamprin, I should be good ...

Idk, I'm not going to lie, I actually am thinking about it now. So maybe I will just skip.

  • I would skip it, just double up and use a condom on the HM.  When I finally do get on some sort of birth control (I have occasional migraines so I can't go on hormonal stuff until I get to the bottom of those), I think we're still going to double up because we're both really paranoid about getting pregnant.  I'd love to just rip out all the plumbing and adopt when we feel ready, but no, FI wants to breed...  Sigh.

But yeah, I think sexy time with a condom would be better than no sexy time and irritability.

  • Talk to your OBG about it.  The way it was explained to me, I think you actually have more of a chance of ovulating by not taking the hormones for a week.

My OBG said that the pills suppress ovulation and that you risk ovulating the most if you forget to take those first pills when you strart a new pack (the first half of hormone pills suppess ovultion and he second half just keep your period at bay for the rest of the month).  So if your pills are already suppressing ovulation, skipping your period by starting a new pack won't increase your risks of pregnancy.

  • Hahaha, oh dear. Then I will be facing WP peer pressure.

How's this: if you poll for that and Raine responds, I will do the exact opposite, since that will clearly be the common sense choice, lol.

  • Meg and Stina - going to miss you both! And Meg, seriously, wedding recap ASAP please. Although I suppose I can wait til you're back from the HM.

I've been rescheduling my BC for the past few months...I want 3 weekends without having to worry (wedding plus 2 weeks of HM), so I had to skip it a couple times. I was kind of worried about it too, but friends who've done it said it was fine. The only thing is that toward the end of the second pack of BC, AF did come a little early, but if you're just trying to avoid those few days on your HM it should be fine.

Also, I thought your "rain on my parade" comment was hysterical.
  • Oh, almost forgot: I too thought you were 8 ounces of Meg K for a long time (I think you one explained it was actually Meg Kate, but I still read it as Meg K 8oz).
  • Hahaha, yeah, I've never actually seen it as 8 ounces before until Stina just pointed it out, I always read it (As was how I designed it) as "Meg Kate Oz" (Like in "The Wizard of").

I guess it just goes to show you really can't tell what other people "see". FWIW, until I actually noticed your siggy, I thought that "Inchile" was your last name, lol, but that was because I went to school with somebody whose last name was "Inchilo".

Then I actually paid attention to your ticker one day and was like "Wow, I'm dumb", lol.

  • Hahaha, my last name is not Inchile. It's just my blog address and was better than using my e-mail. So funny that we both were reading each other's names in a totally different way than they were intended.
