Im thinking that if I post about it.. maybe it will finally hit me! I feel like Im living a fairytale as Im sure all of you girls feel the same way

When I was 15 years old I moved from Boston to a small town and started high school. I met Paul at a highschool basement party and immediately fell in love. I mean I was infatuated with this boy. I would dream of marrying him and spending forever with him. I told everyone about it. He made me laugh harder than anyone Ive ever met. I chased him around like a love sick puppy for YEARS.. and visa versa. Exhausting. It wasn't until I came home from college at 20, I really laid it out for him. He was still avoiding the topic.. love. I called his bluff and told him I was moving the California. I booked a ticket (round trip.. but didnt tell him that) and said I wouldnt be back. The second the plane landed and I turned my phone on I got what I had been wanting "I love you. please come back". Thats all it took and I was home. We moved in together that weekend, and have been together and ridiculously in love ever since.
10 years after we first met, this past Christmas Eve in our tiny apartment, Paul proposed. After unwrapping a present my father left under my tree for me, an antique butterfly ringbox that he had in his antique collection. He had always told me someday when I got married he would give it to me. I unwrapped it and immediately started crying, and thats when Paul took the ring out of his pocket, looking at me and asking the simple question, "You're my best friend, right?".
I so in love, and so happy, and still have not truly let this hit me. Im so glad I got to write this, thank you for letting me share !!! Good luck planning girls!! and Congratulations!!
