Nina Culver Shoe

Has anyone purchased the Nina Culver shoe? I can't find them locally yet but would like to see it on my foot before purchasing to make sure I like it.  I don't normally wear heels but should invest in a pair.  I tried on a pair of Nina's that had a 2.5" heel & it was pretty comfortable but was not the right style.  If anyone has these please post pic of it w/you wearing them.  Just seeing the shoe is no help.  Thanks

Re: Nina Culver Shoe

  • if you buy them from endless.com or zappos.com they have free return shipping if you decide you don't like them.  plus, they are cheaper than other sites I've found.  Nina Culver is a very pretty shoe!
  • I wore the 4" heel version for my e-pics.  It wasn't very comfortable, but (a) it was 4" and (b) I had just received them.

Buy them through ZAPPOS and return if you don't like them.
  • I got the 2.5 in from Zappos and they were one of the most comfortable pairs of heels I've ever worn, but they didn't match my dress so I had to return them.  I think they're really classic, simple shoes that go with most dresses so I recommend them to people all the time.  Like PP said, if you want to try them on, Zappos has free shipping and free returns so you won't be out anything if you order a pair.  I've seen the Culver style at department stores, I think Macy's and/or Nordstrom's, as well if you'd rather try that.

  • Well I finally found them at Macy's and couldn't really tell how much I'd like them since they didn't carry my size (5 :( ).  So ordered thru Zappos but haven't tried them on yet since I'm at work but they look beautiful.  I ordered 2 sizes 5 & 5.5 because I read mixed reviews about sizing (some said true to size, others runs small, & some runs large) so we'll see.

<div>I am a size 5 as well (heck...even those are big on me sometimes!) and I find that Nordstrom has the best selection for small sizes.  I believe they carry Nina shoes so you can always try there if the ones from zappos don't work out.</div>

Well see I checked Nordstrom but I couldn't find these or any Nina's but that could've been the location.  I SERIOUSLY need ya'll help on something.  I've attached a pic of the 2 shoes I got from Zappos ... like I said above ones a 5 & the others a 5 1/2... aside from my comfort level... which one is more of how a peep toe is supposed to look when fitted correctly? I don't wear heels normally & definitely never wore a peep toe.  Reason I ask is cuz one of them is a little to tight in the toe area & I've been told you can get that stretched but at the same time the other one is a little to big (just my luck) but I'm going to try & put either just foot petals or a foot petal & heel thing & I'm trying to decide which is the better option.
  • You are right shortee.  I'm trying 2 break them in but I've never broken in heels before or had to break shoes in period so I don't know if it's supposed to hurt like it does to break them in ???
  • Also which color do ya'll think I should wear w/my dress? I originally wanted navy (all my hunting had been for navy) but then realized I probably wouldn't wear navy again (I don't wear heels to begin with).  My FI & sister think I should wear silver because that's the color my BM's shoes will be & I plan on purchasing a BM dress for myself for nice nights out to dinner and such and they as well as myself obviously feel like silver goes better with those dresses.  I don't know how often I'd actually wear any heels again no matter which color I chose but I'd probably have a higher chance of getting good use out of black ones because those I can wear w/jeans and slacks.  What would you guys do in my situation?

Oh & just so you know I'm not to sure if I've never worn heels because I could never find any in my size & let alone w/a small heel so I'm still in testing period to see if I could even last in them for 5 hrs. because if not then I'm just going to wear flats.  No need to buy 2 pairs of shoes for one night.
  • If you're not comfortable in heels, then just wear flats.  You can get some really nice, dressy ones!!!

FWIW, I am leaning towards wearing flats.
