Busy season?

Just curious thats all. My WC keeps telling me she is swamped with March and April weddings (ours is May), but says she will get to our needs next week. Im a bit annoyed with being reminded how busy she, is, but I guess I can understand. Just curious if anyone else is in line with other weddings in the next several months?

I've just recently, this past week, had an auto reply from my WC stating the same thing. That it's a busy season and please be patient, she'll email back in a week. However, I haven't waited a week for the return email. It's usually within 3 days or so. But I'm in August, so it's a bit different for you, you're right around the corner.

our WC used to have some busy periods but would let us know, but gave us progress updates. We do know that ours spent alot of time dealing with our last minute guest count changes that affected linen, chargers, menus, meal count, additional centerpiece, more chairs, china, etc. just 10 days before our wedding so maybe yours is dealing with late changes for their March and April events that they are taking care of.

I think it's important for them to relay when they will be busy so we allow them some time to go through everything. A heads-up is always appreciated. However, one reason I fired our last coordinator was because she always said (exactly this), "I have other weddings besides yours..." This is so inappropriate and there are other and better ways of saying the same thing. I think it is courteous for them to give a heads-up and it definitely makes me feel like I am still being thought of when there are more urgent and pressing matters at hand...

Getting married in May but my WC has always responded right back to me. Usually within the same day so I haven't come across any problems. Maybe she's less busy. My florist is a different story!
