Engagement Party Questions!!!

My Grandmother and Mom and throwing my fiance and I an engagement party next weekend and we know we should write each of them a handwritten thank you note however; when do you give them this note? Before or after the party? Do we send it in the mail or give it to them in person? Also, do you write thank you notes to everyone that attended?

I would write your mom and grandmother thank you notes after the party and mail them. That way you can include little details that you especially liked about the party, the decorations, food, etc. and how much work they put into it. If you write the notes before, then you don't know those things

I don't think you need to write everyone who attends a thank you note, although you could and it's a nice touch, unless they give you a gift in which case you of course write them to thank them for attending and for the gift.

Ditto pp's I would wait until after the party to write the thank you notes to the hosts. As for the other guests, make sure you thank everyone for coming at the party itself and send thank you notes to those who gave you gifts.
