Monday Accountability / Support

Good morning ladies,

How did we do last week with our getting in shape / weight loss goals? Please report all victories and set backs. Any questions or concerns?

Me: Last week I did pretty good with working out and eating healthy. I allowed myself to have a few treats on Saturday but during the week I stayed on track.

I tried my dress on yesterday and it fits well around the hip and butt area (before it was too tight), but now it is loose around my chest. I'm not going to worry to much about it. I will wear a Nubra and double sided tape and keep it moving.

  • Last week was pretty good.  I went to the gym 4 times and continued to eat healthy although I'm still craving some FRIED foods.  It's been hard giving up my FRIES but it will be all worth it come September 1st!!

Had purchased my dress for bridal shower and it was too big so I had to go on the hunt for another dress.  Bought this dress one size smaller just in case!!

  • Me: I lost 3 lbs!!!!! OMG I was so excited when I got off the scale this morning. My dress comes back on 7/15.... so I'm still moving on have 10 lbs left to go and another dress size. I came down 1 dress size. Put on a new dress this morning that my mom bought me, a size 10 and I could zip it with NO problem. No tugging, leaning over, and praying it wont pop....and I'm comfortable in it too.

  • Well go on Mrs. Smith! 3 pounds is amazing! And just the boost you need to stay motivated. Keep up the great work!

@ MzHayden - I completely understand how you feel about fried foods. We were running late for Church on Sunday so we had to do McDonald's drive through. I was good and ordered the apple walnut salad but my son ordered the chicken nuggets and fries. Those fries smelt so good I almost snatched it out his hand. LOL!

  • Hey ladies,

Congrats on your weight loss journey :)

I still have a little over a year to go and I'm going to start a routine next week. I'm tempted to go dress shopping but I 'm concerned that I will try on a dress love it and then after I lose a little weight...hate it.

    My goal? 30 lbs
My plan? To start...Working out two/three times a week and increase my daily walking. I'm not good with diets. I'll limit my fried foods, cut down on white rice, potatoes etc. and eat more chicken and fish (beef/pork once in a while).

When should I start looking at dresses?

I totally agree with you. I go to an amazing gym and workout for two hours. But my trainers know I can't keep to that diet. When I feel restricted it seems like I eat more of the bad things

  • You can look at dresses whenever, but that is true about having different weight proportions and then hating your dress. I would suggest searching when the dresses for your season are in the stores. For example, I found my dress for November in January and its not a heavy weight because the spring dresses were coming out. IF you find a dress in August - its bound to be heavier (maybe) because of Fall / Winter season being in the stores.

  • My week was great last week!! I started back working out and on the first day of workout the scale read 153 lbs...yesterday I weighed myself and I weigh 145.6 lbs! Although I said I still eat what I want to my PT is trying to get me to eat healthier....so this week no soda, no sweets, and I am also just doing fresh fruits and vegatables with either salmon, tilapia, or baked chicken. My goal this week is to hopefully drop 2-7 lbs.....

I was doing really bad for the last few weeks.  I had gained back 5 lbs.   As of this am I lost back 3 of the 5 I gained back (technically Im still +2) I went for a job this morning without having done any exercise in about 3 weeks.  I guess I was just feeling off.  Now that Im back in it, Im fully BACK IN.

I lost enough for my goal of "no back fat in the wedding dress"
But new goal is "no belly fat for the budoir shoot"  that is July 28th and I need to loose another 10lbs by then.  I know I can do it

I don't think I would have been able to run up ALL the stairs on the first time. I know my behind would have stopped half way to catch my breath. That is some serious work! Glad your FI is working with you, this is always encouraging.

  • Congrats ladies! Sounds like we're on the right track! I had my first dress fitting last week and the seamstress told me NOT to lose anymore weight lol the dress is already a size too big because I've gone down a whole size since I ordered the dress. She said if I go too much more she will have to a lot more altering because the shape won't be the same. Yay! My new focus for the next 3 months is toning. I HAVE to hit the weights at least 3 times a week which is a challenge. I don't really enjoy lifting.
